Big Sexy Eats is a husband-and-wife food operation based in Cape Coral, Florida, operating out of The Vault at the VFW.
Jeff is a Gulf War Air Force veteran with more than 30 years around restaurants, bars, kitchens, operations, and customer service. Mirna is a Cuban immigrant whose home cooking brings the kind of flavor and instinct you do not get from a corporate recipe book.
Our food is familiar on purpose, but it is not careless.
Yes, we serve burgers, wings, tacos, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, sweets, and fried favorites. But the details matter. Our fries are cut in-house and cooked for a crisp outside and smooth center. Our Philly is built on an Amoroso roll with a house cheese blend of smoked provolone and Cooper Sharp, finished with a house jus that has more going on than a scoop of beef base. Our pastrami is house-smoked, rested, steamed, and sliced thin so it eats tender. Our Chicago beef is house-roasted and rested. Our pulled pork is house-smoked, rested, braised, and shredded until it belongs on the sandwich.
Even the “simple” food has a process behind it.
The regular menu keeps service manageable. The specials are where we stretch out: meatloaf plates, Cuban-inspired comfort food, ropa vieja tamales, scratch sauces, and whatever else earns a place after testing. If it does not hold up in real service, it does not stay.
VFW members and guests can order inside during service. Public orders are available for pickup only through online ordering, call, or text.
